First trimester of pregnancy begin from week 1 to the end of week 12, this first week is actually your menstrual period. Because your expected delivery date (EDD) is calculated from the first day of your last period, this week counts as part of your 40-week pregnancy even though your baby hasn't been conceived yet. during this period you may experience cramping, morning sickness and all your early pregnancy symptoms.
You must begin improving your diet and adding vitamin supplements such as folic acid, iron and you must also see your doctor because most miscarriages occur during this period.
As i will always will say try to keep things natural and simple for a healthy pregnancy.
