The First Three Symptoms of Pregnancy

The hormonal disruption caused by pregnancy can cause some early symptoms which one the most common of them is a missed period.

1st Symptom: Late period
The cessation of period is the first sign the most obvious. However, many women have irregular periods due to hormonal problems, making the sign a little less reliable. A delayed period will therefore not necessarily indicate a sign of pregnancy. Also, you can get pregnant after having several rounds without rules.

The period generally occur 15 days after ovulation when an egg is not fertilized. However, it can happen to a woman to have a cycle without ovulation. If your menstrual cycle is regular, the absence of period can be a sign of pregnancy.

2nd Symptoms: Larger and more sensitive breast

This is one of the first metamorphoses of pregnancy, your breasts are suddenly tougher and more voluminous. They are also inflated that two or three days before your period but also more painful, especially on the sides. Take a shower or sleep on their stomachs can become a true ordeal. The nipples take a darker color. Sometimes small protrusions called Montgomery's Tubercules can appear.

From the beginning of your pregnancy your breast is preparing to feed your child and to produce milk. Remember to change your size bras, the breasts have no muscles to support them when they become too heavy.

3rd symptoms: nausea and vomiting

Again, this is not an exclusive signs of pregnancy. Indeed, these symptoms usually occur only after a few weeks of pregnancy and can strike at any time, usually around two months. They are often accompanied with morning sickness.

Two scenarios arise, or you swallow everything that you fall under the hand, or you'll be sick having to eat certain foods.
Pregnancy can cause discomfort, comparable to seasickness, what to eat is still the best remedies. The challenge will be to choose your food. You may be surprised to see your favorite foods turn into food torture. It is also recommended to eat balanced.

Even if these symptoms are very revealing, they can not alone confirm a pregnancy. A pregnancy test and above all a confirmation of your gynecologist will give you a confirmation.

3rd Week Of Pregnancy

You
You have a missed period. Your breasts are stretched and inflated, you have maybe some nausea, you are a little tired ... The estrogen and progesterone produced by the corpus luteum of the ovary and chorionic and the gonadotropin hormone produced by the trophoblast (future placenta), are responsible for all the little discomfort. Their role is to prevent the embryo to be expelled from the uterine lining.

Your baby
The cell divisions are accelerating, the size of the embryonic disc (no longer called the "egg") is 1.5 mm and it double in size each day. On its upper side, a bulge is created which will give birth to the future nervous system. A draft heart, in the form of two tubes appears.

Good to Know
Private or public? Midwife or obstetrician? It's time to ask the right questions about motherhood where you want to give birth.

2nd Week Of Pregnancy

You
By the end of this week, three days before the date of your period or the same day, you can make your home pregnancy test (sold in pharmacy). But its reliability is not complete, it is only a first indication and your doctor will ask you to confirm pregnancy by a blood test.

Your baby
The embryonic disc becomes oval and there cells, numbering 150, are divided into three layers (ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm), to be the source of all tissues (skin, muscles ... ) that constituent the body organ. On the 10th day, the egg is fully installed in the uterine lining (to penetrate the egg it made a hole but it is already closed). It measures 0.2 mm.

Good to Know
Attention, some pregnancy tests can give false hopes. In principle, from ten days' delay of your period, they are reliable in case of positive results.

I know there is scientific term that may appear difficult to understand here, but you can check Wikipedia for more information.

The HCG Hormone

The hormone HCG or beta-HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a hormone secreted during pregnancy. It has a particular role, and his strength helps reveal a multitude of elements, whether or not associated with pregnancy.

What is the hormone HCG and what is his role? The hormone HCG is secreted at the time of implantation, when the embryo attaches to the uterine wall, which will become the placenta. It’s role is to maintain the corpus luteum and to secrete progesterone itself for implantation. Clearly, if the egg is fixed and that the embryo develops, the body needs progesterone, which requires the corpus luteum, itself dependent on the hormone HCG. Its role in pregnancy is therefore essential.

The hormone HCG: A formidable indicator

Firstly, the hormone HCG, which can detect a pregnancy because it is present in the blood about ten days after fertilization and in urine a few days later. So this hormone is what pregnancy test (urine or clinical blood test) are looking for It can then let’s you know the exact date of the beginning of your pregnancy through the determination of its rate because it varies in a very precise way. It’s level also helps ensure smooth functioning of pregnancy, because if there is a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, the level of hormone HCG can gives early warning.

Finally, thanks to its level between the 15th and 17th week, the hormone HCG is even a risk indicator of trisomy 21! If the rate indicates a risk, amniocentesis can be prescribed to confirm the anomaly, or not.

Doubts !!!

I have 2 weeks late from my menstrual period, but I do not feel any signs of pregnancy. Does this excludes a possible pregnancy? Starting from how many days of amenorrhea these signs usually appear?

The fact that you don't feel anything does not mean you're not pregnant, "felt" is highly variable depending on the women. The delay in the appearance of signs is also variable. The first signs are appearing classically are breast with sensitive nipple and breast tension. Why not take a pregnancy test which will verify your doubts?

The emergence of these fungal infections is promoted by the hormone disorders that may occur during periods of rule, menopause and especially when you are pregnant.

Indeed, the significant increase in estrogen and progestin during pregnancy causes a change in the vaginal wall, weakening the local immunity. Moreover, this hormone secretion disrupted changes the composition of vaginal secretions and promotes fungal infections.

In fact, it is mainly during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and during the period following childbirth that the risks are greatest.

Every day it is vital to keep an intimate hygiene package! Use a neutral soap and non-fragrant. Also Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes, they lead to the emergence of wetlands because not enough ventilated. According to the same principle, be sure to dry you out of the shower and not keep your wet bathing suit for too long on you.

A vaginal fungus poses no risk to the healthy development of the fetus. However, your child may find themselves infected during childbirth. It is therefore essential to well treat its pathology and follow the advice of your doctor!

First Week of Pregnancy Symptoms

The first trimester of pregnancy is the most crucial period in pregnancy, since here the woman might feel sick and exhausted, and may even be advised bed rest.

Most pregnant women do not have any specific signs or symptoms of implantation, although it is not uncommon to experience light bleeding at implantation or cramps but this is normal unless there is spotting or bleeding as well, you should take that seriously and contact your doctor.

During your pregnancy first trimester you may experience morning sickness, dizziness, and leg cramps that occur due to low levels of calcium and other vitamins, even thought that all vital nutrients can be found in your diet, there are a few crucial nutrients like vitamin D, calcium and vitamin B9 (that is proven to limit fetal neural tube defects and birth defect.) that your diet is likely lacking and are necessary for a healthy baby and pregnancy.

So take your vitamin and contact your doctor if any problem appears because most miscarriages occur during this period.

Early Pregnancy Symptoms Cramps

During early pregnancy you may experience cramping, but there is a lot of reasons to cause abdominal cramping in a women. Not only pregnancy.

Cramping is one of the early symptom of pregnancy, it's the way that body react to the implantation, you may think that it's your period but this is your uterus preparing for the baby, this is completely normal unless you're experiencing other symptoms like bleeding, fever..., so while cramping could be a sign of pregnancy, it can also be a sign of your menstrual cycles following an early miscarriage, be careful in this case and consult your doctor for a healthy pregnancy.

9 Pregnancy Symptoms You Should Know

This sign of pregnancy are classified from the most important that will confirm that you are pregnant, to the less important sign.

1. Your basal body temperature stays high

If you have been watching your body temperature carefully and you see that your temperature
has stayed elevated for 16 days or more, you are probably pregnant.

2. A missed period

This is the most common symptom, if your period doesn't arrive on time there is a chance that you are pregnant, but if you are not regular and don't keep track of your cycle you will not take that seriously, but you can know the early pregnancy symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness that will signal pregnancy before you realize you didn't get your period.

3. Frequent urination

during pregnancy the amount of blood and other fluids in your body increases, which leads to extra fluid being processed by your kidneys and ending up in your bladder.
This symptom starts in the first trimester and will continue as your pregnancy progresses.

4. Abdominal bloating

A bloated feeling that is caused by hormonal changes in your early pregnancy may let you
feel snugger than usual at the waistline, even early or when your uterus is still quite small.

5. Increased sensitivity to odors

You may find that certain food or aromas are suddenly completely repulsive to you.

6. Nausea or vomiting

This can be a problem for some women about a month after conception, but some women
do start to feel it a bit earlier.

7. Implantation bleeding

You may experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding around 11 or 12 days after conception
and this is caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of your uterus.

8. Fatigue

This is one of the early pregnancy symptoms; I think it's the hormonal change that contributes to the feeling of sleepiness

9. Tender, swollen breasts

An other early signs of pregnancy are sensitive, sore breasts like before your period, this will diminish after the first trimester.

The Solution: a home pregnancy test

This is not the most effective method to detect that you are pregnant until at least 12 to 15 days after the fertilization, so, if you need a more accurate way to detect an early pregnancy symptoms you can use the clinical blood test which can confirm the fertilization early as 6 to 8 days.
